You're going through the motions. You might even look fine from the outside. But inside you feel flat, disconnected, or just empty. It doesn't have to stay this way.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in depression treatment at my Baton Rouge office. You don't have to keep carrying this quietly. Reach out today.
Book Your Free ConsultationDepression is not a character flaw. It's something we can work on together, with an approach grounded in what actually works:
Before any strategies, we make space for what you're carrying. Many people with depression have never had that — and it's where real change begins.
We use what the research says actually works for depression — including CBT, behavioral activation, and exploring the patterns that keep you stuck.
We don't just talk about how you feel. We identify the specific things maintaining your depression and work to change them, for good.
Persistent low mood, loss of pleasure, and difficulty functioning that goes beyond the blues and won't lift on its own.
You're keeping it together on the outside. Inside you're running on fumes, wondering why you can't just feel okay.
The joy that was supposed to come with motherhood feels absent, mixed with guilt, or replaced by something much heavier.
A specific loss, failure, or life change has knocked the floor out from under you and the ground hasn't come back.
Every winter, the same fog rolls in and makes everything harder — motivation, sleep, mood, all of it.
The worry never stops, but neither does the heaviness. They feed each other in a cycle that feels impossible to break alone.
A loss that has made the world feel permanently dimmer — and that conventional "stages of grief" advice doesn't touch.
A deep, quiet belief that you're not enough — even when the evidence says otherwise. Therapy can reach what willpower can't.
Depression tells you things won't change. That voice is a symptom, not the truth. Reach out today — you don't need to have it together to get started.
Book Your Free ConsultationWe move at your pace. Here's how the work typically unfolds:
Depression looks different for everyone. We start by understanding exactly how it shows up for you — mood, energy, physical symptoms, thought patterns, and what's maintaining it.
We use evidence-based strategies to interrupt depressive patterns, rebuild engagement with life, and address the thinking that keeps you feeling stuck.
We build habits and self-awareness that make it harder for depression to regain its hold — long after our work together ends.
Therapy is highly effective for depression, especially moderate depression. For some people, medication is a useful complement. I'm happy to coordinate with a prescriber if needed. We'll work together to figure out what the right approach is for you.
That's exactly the right time to start. You don't need to be in the right headspace. You just need to show up. Momentum builds from there, and I'll meet you exactly where you are — no performance required.
Most clients see meaningful improvement in 12–20 sessions. Severity, history, and contributing factors all play a role. We'll track your progress together and you'll always know where we stand in the process.
You don't need to know. Part of therapy is figuring that out together. Depression often doesn't have one obvious cause — we'll look at the full picture, including biological, situational, and relational factors.
Sessions are $125 and are private pay. Upon request, I can provide a Superbill — an itemized receipt you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. A Good Faith Estimate will be provided before services begin, in accordance with the No Surprises Act.
